śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
uttare narmadākūle bhṛgukṣetrasya madhyataḥ /
kapileśvaraṃ tu vikhyātaṃ viśeṣātpāpanāśanam //

Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / On the northern bank of the Narmadā, in the middle of the field of Bhṛgu, / is renowned Kapileśvara, which especially destroys sins.
