paurṇamāsyāmamāvāsyāṃ snātvā piṇḍaṃ prayacchati /
tasya te dvādaśābdāni tṛptā yānti surālayam //
Having bathed on the full moon or new moon day, whoever offers a funeral ball of rice, / his [ancestors], satisfied for twelve years, go to the abode of the gods.
