śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tato gacchenmahīpāla piṅgalāvartamuttamam /
tīrthaṃ sarvaguṇopetaṃ kāmikaṃ bhuvi durlabham //

Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then one should go, O king, to the excellent Piṅgalāvarta, / a pilgrimage place endowed with all virtues, granting desires, and hard to attain on earth.
