tatrāntaṃ pāpasaṅghasya dhruvamāpnoti mānavaḥ /
śaṅkhoddhāre naraḥ snātvā tarpayet pitṛdevatāḥ //
A mortal surely reaches the end of their heap of sins there. / Having bathed at Śaṅkhoddhāra, a man should offer libations to the ancestors and gods.
