śrutvākhyānam idaṃ devī vavande tīrthamuttamam /
sarvapāpaharaṃ puṇyaṃ narmadāyāṃ vyavasthitam //
Having heard this narrative, the goddess bowed to that supreme pilgrimage place, / which removes all sins, is holy, and is situated on the Narmadā.
