jalabindu kuśāgreṇa māse māse pibecca saḥ /
saṃvatsaraśataṃ sāgraṃ tiṣṭhate ca varānane //
Month by month he would drink a drop of water with the tip of a kuśa grass, / and he has stood thus for over a hundred years, O fair-faced lady.
