krodhānvito dvijo gaurī tena siddhir na vidyate /
varṣāyutais tathā lakṣair na kiṃcit kāraṇaṃ priye //
This twice-born man is filled with anger, O Gaurī, and therefore perfection does not exist [for him]; / through tens of thousands of years, or hundreds of thousands, it avails nothing, O dear one.
