tato gatāyāṃ vai lakṣmyāṃ devā brahmarṣayo 'malāḥ /
krodhalobhamidaṃ sthānaṃ te 'pi coktvā divaṃ yayuḥ //

Then, when Lakṣmī had gone, the spotless gods and Brahmin seers,
saying, “This place is filled with anger and greed,” also departed for heaven.
