māsi mārgaśire śuklā bhavatyekādaśī yadā /
snātvā revājale puṇye taddinaṃ samupoṣayet //
When the bright eleventh lunar day occurs in the month of Mārgaśīrṣa,
having bathed in the holy water of the Revā, one should fast on that day.
