tataḥ prabhāte hyuṣasi saṃsnātvā narmadājale /
saṃtarpya pitṛdevāṃśca tilairyavavimiśritaiḥ //
Then, having bathed at dawn in the water of the Narmadā in the early morning,
and having propitiated the ancestors and the gods with sesame seeds mixed with barley,
