śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
ityukte 'psarasaḥ sarvāḥ praṇipatya punaḥ punaḥ /
ūcur nārāyaṇaṃ devaṃ taddarśanasamīhayā //

Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / When this was spoken, all the apsarases, bowing down again and again, / spoke to the god Nārāyaṇa, desiring a vision of him.
