śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tacchrutvānāntadevena viśvarūpamudāhṛtam /
devarājastathā devāḥ paraṃ vismayamāgatāḥ //

Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Having heard that and the universal form declared by the boundless God, / the king of gods and the gods were filled with utmost wonder.
