mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tayorevaṃ saṃvadatordevā indrapurogamāḥ /
samāgatā vanoddeśaṃ sāgarānte maharṣayaḥ //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / As the two were thus conversing, the gods headed by Indra / and the great ṛṣis arrived at the forest region on the shore of the ocean.
