mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tato gacchenmahīpāla bhadrakālītisaṅgamam /
śūlatīrthamiti khyātaṃ svayaṃ devena nirmitam //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then, O protector of the earth, one should go to the confluence named Bhadrakālī, / famous as Śūlatīrtha, fashioned by the god himself.
