tataścārohiṇīṃ prāpya gogajāśvanṛjanmabhāk /
śrūyate śrutiśāstreṣu vedeṣu ca paraṃtapa //
Then, having reached the ascending scale, he receives births as cow, elephant, horse, and man; / so it is heard in the revelations, śāstras, and the Vedas, O scorcher of foes.
