evaṃ hi śete bhagavānsattvasthaḥ pralaye sadā /
sattvarūpo mahādevo yadādhāre jagatsthitam //
Thus indeed the Lord always lies at the dissolution, abiding in sattva; / Mahādeva, whose form is sattva, upon whose support the universe is sustained.
