śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tasyaivānantaraṃ pārtha sāvitrītīrthamuttamam /
yatra siddhā mahābhāgā sāvitrī vedamātṛkā //

The venerable Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Immediately following that, O Pārtha, is the excellent Sāvitrī Tīrtha, / where the highly fortunate Sāvitrī, mother of the Vedas, attained perfection.
