sandhyāṃ nopāsate yastu brāhmaṇo mandabuddhimān /
sa jīvanneva śūdraḥ syān mṛtaḥ śvā samprajāyate //
The slow-witted Brahmin who does not perform the twilight devotion / is indeed a Śūdra while alive, and when dead, is born as a dog.
