vācikaṃ mānasaṃ vāpi karmajaṃ yatpurā kṛtam /
tatsarvaṃ vilayaṃ yāti svarṇadānena bhārata //
Whatever [sin] was committed previously, whether of speech, mind, / or born of bodily action, all that vanishes through the gift of gold, O Bhārata.
