śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tasyaivānantaraṃ pārtha puṣkalītīrthamuttamam /
tatra tīrthe naraḥ snātvā hyaśvamedhaphalaṃ labhet //

The glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Immediately after it, O son of Pṛthā, is the excellent Puṣkalī Tīrtha; / having bathed at that pilgrimage place, a man obtains the fruit of a horse sacrifice.
