21.31
dānena bhogānāpnoti ityevaṃ śaṅkaro 'bravīt /
parvatāt paścime deśe svayaṃ devo maheśvaraḥ /
sthitaḥ praṇavarūpo 'sau jagadādiḥ sanātanaḥ //
Through giving gifts one obtains enjoyments; thus Śaṅkara has spoken. / In the region west of the mountain, the god Maheśvara himself / abides in the form of the praṇava, the eternal source of the universe.
