narmadāyāḥ sutastatra saśalyo viśalīkṛtaḥ /
sarvadevaiśca ṛṣibhirviśalyā tena sā smṛtā //
the son of Narmadā, pierced with a dart, was freed of the dart there / by all the gods and sages; therefore she is remembered as Viśalyā.
