śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tasyaivānantaraṃ tāta puṅkhilaṃ tīrthamuttamam /
tatra tīrthe purā puṅkhaḥ pārtha siddhimupāgataḥ //

Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya said:
Immediately following it, dear one, is the excellent Puṅkhila pilgrimage place;
at that pilgrimage place in ancient times, Puṅkha attained perfection, O son of Pṛthā.
