upavāsaparo bhūtvā niyatendriyamānasaḥ /
tatra snātvā vidhānena mucyate brahmahatyayā //
Devoted to fasting, with senses and mind restrained,
having bathed there according to rule, one is freed from the murder of a brāhmaṇa.
