yudhiṣṭhira uvāca:
kathaṃ siddho dvijaśreṣṭha vāsudevo jagadguruḥ /
mānuṣaṃ rūpamāsthāya lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā //

Yudhiṣṭhira said:
How did Vāsudeva, the teacher of the universe, attain perfection, O best of the twice-born,
having assumed a human form out of a desire for the welfare of the worlds?
