rāma uvāca:
kenedamātmanāśāya hyajñānāt sāhasaṃ kṛtam /
mama tātaṃ jighāṃsuryo draṣṭuṃ mṛtyumihecchati //

Rāma said:
"By whom was this reckless deed done out of ignorance for his own destruction? / Who, desiring to kill my father, wishes to see death here?"
