tato devāsuraṃ yuddham abhavallomaharṣaṇam /
mayatārakam ityevaṃ triṣu lokeṣu viśrutam //
Then there occurred a hair-raising battle between the gods and the asuras, / renowned across the three worlds as the battle of Maya and Tāraka.
