brahmaṇā saṃsṛto 'pyāśu nāyāti sa yadā khagaḥ /
tadā taṃ śaptavānbrahmā pātayāmāsa vai padāt //
When that bird did not return quickly although summoned by Brahmā, / then Brahmā cursed him and brought about his fall from his position.
