pratyakṣaḥ pradadau tebhyastvabhīṣṭaṃ varamuttamam /
tataḥ svanāmnā saṃsthāpya vasavastaṃ maheśvaram /
jagmurākāśamāviśya prasanne sati śaṅkare //
Appearing visibly before them, he granted them their desired, excellent boon. / Then, having installed that Maheśvara in their own name, / when Śaṅkara was pleased, the Vasus entered the sky and departed.
