224.1

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tataḥ krośāntare pārtha tīrthaṃ koṭīśvaraṃ param /
yatra snānaṃ ca dānaṃ ca japahomārcanādikam /
bhaktyā kṛtaṃ naraistatra sarvaṃ koṭiguṇaṃ bhavet //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then, at a distance of a krośa, O Pāṇḍava, is the supreme pilgrimage place Koṭīśvara, / where sacred bath, gift, recitation, oblation, worship, and the like, / performed by people with devotion, all become multiplied ten-millionfold.
