śivalokamavāpnoti yāvadindrāścaturdaśa /
pauṣakṛṣṇāṣṭamīyoge viśeṣaḥ pūjane smṛtaḥ //
one attains the world of Śiva for as long as fourteen Indras [endure]. / In conjunction with the eighth day of the dark fortnight of Pauṣa, a special merit is declared in worship.
