iti te kathitaṃ pārtha pāramparyakramāgatam /
kartavyaṃ jñātivargasya parārthe dharmasādhanam //
Thus has been told to you, O Pārtha, coming down in traditional succession, / that the performance of religious duty for the sake of another should be done for one's group of kinsmen.
