tathaiva brahmaṇā siddhyai saptatīrthānyavīvadat /
triṣu ca brahmaṇaḥ pūjā brahmeśāścaturo 'pare /
aṣṭāviṃśanmayā khyātā yathāsaṅkhyaṃ yathākramam //
Likewise, he spoke of seven pilgrimage places [established] by Brahmā for the sake of accomplishment: / in three is the worship of Brahmā, and four others are Brahmeśas. / Twenty-eight have been declared by me according to number and order.
