kāveryāḥ saṅgame viprāḥ sthitā pañcaśatī tathā /
tīrthānāṃ parvasu tathā viśeṣo muninoditaḥ //
At the confluence of the Kāverī, O brāhmaṇas, five hundred are situated likewise; / and the sage mentioned a particular [merit] of the pilgrimage places on festive days.
