evamādiṣu tīrtheṣu yatpuṇyaṃ jāyate nṛṇām /
narmadācaritaṃ śrutvā tatpuṇyaṃ sakalaṃ labhet //
whatever religious merit arises for human beings at these and other pilgrimage places, / having heard the narrative of the Narmadā, one obtains all of that religious merit.
