karakaṃ vārisampūrṇaṃ saubhāgyena tu saṃyutam /
dattaṃ tu lalite tubhyaṃ saubhāgyādivivardhanam /
iti karakadānamantraḥ //
'This water-pot filled with water, endowed with good fortune, / is offered to you, O Lalitā, increasing good fortune and the like.' / —Such is the mantra for the gift of the water-pot.
