paścāttṛtīyādeyaṃ yattatpūrvasyāṃ vivarjayet /
vidhānamāsāṃ sarvāsāṃ sāmānyaṃ manasaḥ priye //
Whatever is to be given on the subsequent third day, one should avoid on the preceding one. / The procedure for all of these is the same, O dear one to my heart.
