mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
etasminn antare rudro narmadātaṭamāsthitaḥ /
krīḍate hyumayā sārddhaṃ nāradas tatra cāgataḥ //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / In the meantime, Rudra was situated on the bank of the Narmadā, / Sporting with Umā, and Nārada arrived there.
