mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
bhūyastasya varo datto devadevena bhārata /
svarge martye ca pātāle pūjitaḥ sasurāsuraiḥ //
Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Again a boon was given to him by the God of gods, O descendant of Bharata, / that he would be worshipped in heaven, on earth, and in the underworld by gods and asuras:
