aṭṭahāsān pramuñcanti kaṣṭarūpā narās tadā /
nimeṣonmeṣaṇaṃ caiva kurvanti lipikarmasu //
men in agonizing forms let loose wild mocking laughter at that time; / and in their scribal activities they blinked and stared fixedly.
