raktamālyottamāṅgāśca patantaḥ kārdame hrade /
paśyanti nāma cātmānaṃ satailābhyaṅgamastakam //

their heads adorned with red garlands, falling into a muddy pool; / and they saw themselves with their heads smeared with oil;
