ekāhāro vasanmāsaṃ tathā ṣaṣṭhāhnakālikaḥ /
pakṣopavāsī nyavasat kaṃcit kālaṃ nṛpottama //
Living for a month eating once a day, and likewise eating every sixth meal, / he dwelled for some time fasting for a fortnight, O best of kings.
