daśa pūrve pare tāta mātṛtaḥ pitṛtastathā /
pitaraḥ pitāmahāstena uddhṛtā narakārṇavāt //
Ten past and ten future [generations], dear one, on the mother’s and on the father’s side— / his fathers and grandfathers are thereby delivered from the ocean of hell.
