śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
śṛṇvantu ṛṣayaḥ sarve tvayā saha nareśvara /
mahatpurāṇaṃ pūrvoktaṃ śaṃbhunā vāyudaivate //
The venerable Mārkaṇḍeya said: / “Let all the sages listen together with you, O lord of men, / to the great purāṇa formerly spoken by Śambhu, of which Vāyu is the deity.
