saṃhitā śatasāhasrī puroktā śaṃbhunā kila /
āloḍya sarvaśāstrāṇi vadārthaṃ tattvataḥ purā //
A compilation of one hundred thousand verses was indeed spoken of old by Śambhu, / having churned all the scriptures for the sake of the essential truth in former times.
