śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
citronāma mahātejā indrasya dayitaḥ purā /
tasya putro nṛpaśreṣṭha pattreśvara iti śrutaḥ //
Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / In the past there was one of great splendour named Citra, beloved of Indra. / His son, O best of kings, was known as Pattreśvara.
