yattvayoktaṃ mahādeva patidharmaratāḥ striyaḥ /
tāsāṃ tvaṃ madano bhūtvā cāritraṃ kṣobhaya prabho //
‘As to what you have said, O great god, that the women are devoted to the duty of a wife, / assume the form of the god of love and shake their virtuous conduct, O lord!’
