patamānasya liṅgasya śabdo 'bhūcca sudāruṇaḥ /
ulkāpātā diśāṃ hāhā bhūmikampāśca dāruṇāḥ //
A terrible noise arose as the liṅga fell; / meteors fell, cries of distress [filled] the directions, and terrible earthquakes occurred.
