etaṃ kīrtayate yastu narmadeśvarasambhavam /
bhaktyā śṛṇoti ca naraḥ so 'pi snānaphalaṃ labhet //
Whoever proclaims this origin of Narmadeśvara, / and the man who listens with devotion, he too would obtain the fruit of a sacred bath.

|| iti śrīskānde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ pañcama āvantyakhaṇḍe revākhaṇḍe narmadāmāhātmye narmadeśvaratīrthamāhātmyavarṇanaṃ nāmāṣṭatriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ ||
