grīṣme pañcāgnisaṃtapto varṣāsu sthaṇḍileśayaḥ /
hemante jalamadhyastho vāyubhakṣaḥ śataṃ samāḥ //
In summer, scorched by the five fires; in the rainy season, lying on the bare ground; / in winter, standing in the midst of water; subsisting on air for a hundred years.
